A moth of craft photos

I found this fun challenge through Yarn Madness, originally from Untangling knots. I'm up for it! Trying to use my camera a lot more than I'm doing right now and this is a great way to do that I think! Anyone else up for it?
I'm starting tomorrow, will do them one by one. Not sure if I manage to make one post every day for a month but I'll do my best.

Walpurgis

Today is Walpurgis Night here in Finland. A kind of spring festival that is always on th 30:th of April. Especially students celebrate by having a picnic in the park both today AND tomorrow on the 1:st of May. And everyone wears their graduation hat from high school. A pic from walpurgis nigh a few years ago, just to show you my funny graduation hat.

This year I'm celebrating with a yummy dinner and a nice glass of red wine. So happy Walpurgis to everyone!

My weekend

We have had awesome spring weather here this weekend! Spring is absolutely my favorite season. I'm so happy that we got to move to this house before spring started. This weekend have been filled with sun and fresh air. We have a lot of wood anemones in our garden so I even brought spring inside.
I found a bunch of poor abandoned narcissus's in the forest. I thought they deserved a better place so I moved them to our garden. The little ladybug is also something found here in the garden. Thought that was a great place for a ladybug.

Sunday morning was chilly so I needed to light a fire. Always nice to hear the sound of the fire in the mornings...

This is the project that I have been working on during the weekend. Playing around with pretty pastel cotton yarns, mixing and matching.

And of course I was for long walks in the sun with the doggies. No pics from that unfortunately. Impossible to bring the camera while walking two excited dogs.
How was your weekend?

Beroende på intresse utses flera vinnare än en!
Utlottningen pågår till 20 Maj!

Gina the Giraffe

Well this is Gina. She has been lying in box with only a head and a body for over a year now! Finally found the inspiration to give her legs, arms, ears and details. All her spots are hand sewn and glued so it was a lot of work with her! And she is pretty big too! 40cm tall while standing!
Gina is available here!

Woot woot!

Before we moved I made these little owls. I have a growing love for making soft sculptures. It is so much faster than crocheting and I love hand stitching them together and attaching all the details. These guys are mostly hand sewn. Their bodies and wings are sewn on machine. All fabrics are from flea markets or fabric samples (for furniture or curtains I think). The gray one is Olga and the white one is Olaf.

Connected

Finally we have Internet again! We have been without it since we moved to our new house. That is also the reason for this silence on the blog. So much catching up to do!

So we moved in about three weeks ago. The new house is great even though it is a bit small for us and all our stuff! Especially all my yarn and fabric. I need to store some of it at my parents house because we simply don't have room for everything. But it is SO nice to have a garden and practically live IN the forest! Love it!
